KTLN attends community events and distributes station information.  During this reporting period, a sign up sheet has been available for interested organizations representing potential job candidates, to sign up to receive job postings.  There were no positions posted during this current period. A KTLN representative contacted recruitment representatives of four college/universities to inform them of KTLN’s internship program and invited the schools to become part of KTLN’s recruitment source list recruitment.

(1)  Internship Program:
KTLN DT’s Internship Program offers internships to college/university students and other individuals interested in acquiring skills for broadcast employment. The program is designed to assist students in receiving college credits for their participation. Information regarding the internship program is available to universities, colleges, churches and community organizations and may be found at www.ktln.tv.
Program Details:
We are committed to giving interns valuable experience including office, ministry, audio, lighting, basic non-linear editing, cameras, and set design / construction opportunities.
No structured learning sessions should be expected. The intern is encouraged to ask questions and learn from watching, listening, and “hands on” experience.
An eight-hour weekly minimum is required and time requirements of each college, university, or organization are followed.
Scheduled work hours will be determined before acceptance. Hours can be flexible to meet the student’s needs.
This Internship Program only applies to broadcast television production and related assignments at KTLN. It does not apply to computer science, or management.

·         Job Fair Definition - This job fair was targeted at all majors and was open to all students and some alumni, especially those with an interest in the Non-Profit sector. The “Just in Time” Job Fair provided opportunities for students to learn about KTLN and possible opportunities such as internships, volunteer, part-time and full-time positions.
·         Results - Approximately 94 students visited the KTLN table. 
Sonoma State University World of Work Career and Summer Job Fair
·         Location – Sonoma State University Recreation Center, 1801 E. Cotati Avenue, Rohnert Park, Ca, 94928
·         Date & Time –  February 25, 2010 – 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
·         KTLN Attendees  - Matthew Kenny, Director of Ministries
·         Job Fair Definition - This job fair was targeted at all majors and was open to all students and some alumni. The Fair provided opportunities for students to learn about KTLN and possible opportunities such as internships, volunteer, part-time and full-time positions.
·         Results –KTLN accepted resumes for internships for the up-coming semester.  One of these students became a summer intern.   Approximately 65 students visited the KTLN table. 
(3)  Job Banks and Internet Programs:
When positions are available, KTLN DT participates in job banks by posting notices of all job vacancies to the station’s own website as well as those websites for National Association of Broadcasters; American Women in Radio and Television; California Broadcasters Association; Bay Area Society of Television and Radio; Jewish Vocational Services, and Monster Jobs.
(4)  Training Program for Staff
·         KTLN established and maintains a training program designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions; KTLN employs 7 full time staff members. 
·         KTLN’s General Manager and Director of Ministries participated in a workplace harassment training program with training relating to equal employment opportunity and the prevention of discrimination.
·         Annual in-house training for management level personnel is conducted by the Director of Human Resources, Total Living Network.
(5)  Other activities to further disseminate information about employment opportunities:
KTLN runs an EEO advertisement on-air indicating they are an “equal opportunity employer” and solicits organizations to contact KTLN’s office to be notified of all job openings. 
EEO Ad spot ran 152 times during this reporting period (thru 7/19/10).
Representatives of KTLN attend community events and distribute station information.  During this reporting period, a sign up sheet has been available for interested organizations representing potential job candidates, to sign up to receive job postings.  
KTLN updates its recruitment source list to edit contact information and include additional sources with the goal of providing information regarding employment and internship opportunities at our facility.

·         Training Definition – KTLN co-sponsored National Christian College Fairs held within the San Francisco Bay Area in 2009.
·         Results – The events provide opportunities for high school students to interact with college and universities representative on fields of study including media and broadcast.
